Somewhere along the way, we realized we'd figured something out. So we built a firm around sharing it.
We are federal proposal strategists for AEC firms who are serious about winning government contracts... not dabbling in them. With 25 years of experience, a deep love of design, and an insider's understanding of what agencies actually want, we built the firm we always wished existed.
We didn’t start It’s A Go because federal proposals needed another consultant. We started it because we’d been inside the firms that never lost, and we understood, in granular detail, exactly why.
Our team sits at an uncommon intersection. We bring AE design expertise, construction knowledge, and a marketing and communications background that has never once believed “it’s just a form” or “design doesn’t matter as much as content.” We’ve heard those words… and every time, we’ve thought the same thing: that’s exactly why your competition is winning.
Design isn’t decoration. A proposal that looks like everyone else’s reads like everyone else’s. The strongest story, told poorly, loses. We’ve spent years understanding how federal agencies read submissions; what catches their eye, what loses them, and what makes a firm look like the obvious choice before the technical evaluation even begins. We know what your competition is bringing to the table because we’ve seen it up close.
But this work has never been just about the product. It’s about the people doing it. We’ve pulled all-nighters and worked through being sick. We’ve felt the gut-punch of a heartbreaking loss and the full-body rush of a win the whole team fought for. We’ve been forgotten after a submission and recognized in ways that still mean something. We’ve worked alongside incredible teams who made the hard work feel electric and we’ve navigated the ones who didn’t. All of it shaped how we work and who we choose to work with.
